Consultant ENT Surgeon - Airway Surgery in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior Hospital and Health Care opportunity for an experienced otolaryngology specialist with advanced expertise in head and neck surgery, complex airway management, airway reconstruction, and emergency ENT care. This role is designed for a consultant-level surgeon who can manage adult and pediatric ENT conditions, perform advanced surgical procedures, and support multidisciplinary service development within a leading healthcare institution.
The position requires strong clinical leadership, surgical precision, and the ability to manage both elective and emergency ENT cases. The selected consultant will work closely with anesthesiology, oncology, radiology, pulmonology, ICU, emergency medicine, and allied healthcare teams to deliver safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered ENT care aligned with UAE regulatory standards and international best practice.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for adult and pediatric ENT conditions
* Perform advanced head and neck surgeries, including thyroid, parathyroid, salivary gland, neck mass, and oncologic procedures
* Lead complex airway care, including difficult airway cases, tracheostomy management, airway reconstruction, and endoscopic airway interventions
* Conduct outpatient ENT clinics, diagnostic evaluations, procedural assessments, and structured follow-up care
* Manage emergency ENT presentations such as airway obstruction, severe epistaxis, trauma, infection, and acute surgical conditions
* Perform a broad range of ENT surgeries, including endoscopic sinus surgery, otologic procedures, laryngeal surgery, airway surgery, and head and neck oncology procedures
* Collaborate with anesthesiology, oncology, radiology, pulmonology, ICU, emergency medicine, and surgical teams for integrated patient management
* Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards, airway management committees, complex case reviews, and treatment planning meetings
* Support clinical governance, patient safety initiatives, quality improvement programs, and evidence-based protocol development
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with DHA standards, hospital policies, and clinical governance requirements
* Teach, mentor, and supervise residents, fellows, junior doctors, and allied health professionals
* Contribute to research, publications, CME activities, and continuous professional development
* Support strategic planning, service expansion, and protocol creation for ENT, airway, and head and neck surgery services
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a highly experienced Consultant ENT Surgeon with strong expertise in otolaryngology, head and neck surgical oncology, airway reconstruction, and complex airway management. The role requires advanced surgical judgment, confident multidisciplinary coordination, and the ability to support high-acuity ENT services in a tertiary or high-volume healthcare environment.
* Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent from a recognized institution
* Completion of residency and fellowship training in Otolaryngology or ENT
* Western Board Certification such as UK CCT, American Board, Canadian FRCSC, Australian or New Zealand Fellowship, or equivalent
* Subspecialty fellowship training in Head and Neck Surgery or Airway Surgery is preferred
* Eligibility for DHA Consultant License
* Minimum 8+ years of post-specialty qualification experience, or as per DHA consultant criteria
* Proven expertise in complex airway management, airway reconstruction, tracheostomy care, and endoscopic airway procedures
* Strong experience in head and neck surgical oncology, thyroid surgery, salivary gland surgery, laryngeal surgery, and emergency ENT care
* Experience in tertiary-care hospitals or high-volume ENT and head and neck centers will be an advantage
* Strong communication, leadership, teaching, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment while maintaining patient-centered care
