Role Context
This role is critical in managing high-risk ENT trauma and surgical cases, ensuring rapid intervention and optimal patient outcomes. The Consultant will work closely with trauma and critical care teams, playing a key role in emergency response and complex surgical care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage ENT conditions with a focus on trauma and head and neck surgery
* Perform emergency and elective procedures including tracheostomies and trauma-related surgeries
* Manage penetrating neck injuries and complex facial trauma cases
* Provide full perioperative care ensuring patient safety and recovery
* Collaborate with trauma surgeons, neurosurgeons, anesthesiologists, and ICU teams
* Lead emergency response for ENT-related trauma cases
* Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes
* Participate in clinical audits, CME programs, and quality improvement initiatives
* Mentor junior doctors and contribute to teaching and research activities
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialization in ENT or Otolaryngology
* Fellowship or subspecialty training in head and neck surgery or trauma
* Board-certified in ENT Surgery or equivalent
* Strong experience in trauma, tracheostomies, and facial injury management
* Excellent leadership and decision-making skills in emergency settings
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities
* Fluent in English, additional languages are an advantage
