The consultant will diagnose and manage gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and digestive disorders while providing evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Arabic fluency is mandatory for this position, supporting clear and culturally appropriate communication with Arabic-speaking patients and families. The role also requires strong expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy and the management of both inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal
disorders, including GERD, IBS, IBD, pancreatitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, and liver diseases.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy.
- Perform colonoscopy and appropriate therapeutic interventions.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases.
- Develop individualized treatment strategies and long-term follow-up plans.
- Assess patients with gastrointestinal, hepatic, pancreatic, and related digestive conditions.
- Provide culturally sensitive consultations for Arabic-speaking patients and families.
- Educate patients about digestive health, preventive care, diet, and appropriate lifestyle modifications.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Multidisciplinary Gastroenterology Care
The consultant will collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, oncologists, and other healthcare professionals in the management of complex gastrointestinal conditions. Effective multidisciplinary communication will support coordinated diagnostic, therapeutic, and follow-up care.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Board Certification or Fellowship in Gastroenterology.
- Eligibility for appropriate Consultant-level medical licensing in Dubai.
- Minimum 5-7 years of post-board consultant experience in a recognized hospital or healthcare institution.
- Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.
- Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
