Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed medical evaluations, including patient history review, physical examination, symptom assessment, and risk evaluation.
* Diagnose and manage digestive system disorders such as Crohn\'s disease, ulcerative colitis, celiac disease, inflammatory bowel disease, GERD, and other gastrointestinal conditions.
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests to support accurate clinical decisions and timely treatment planning.
* Develop personalized treatment plans based on diagnosis, disease severity, patient lifestyle, and long-term health goals.
* Prescribe medications, recommend dietary changes, and advise patients on lifestyle modifications that support digestive health.
* Collaborate with nurses, nutritionists, surgeons, radiologists, internal medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
* Monitor patient progress, review treatment response, and adjust care plans when needed.
* Stay updated with new research, treatment methods, clinical guidelines, and developments in gastroenterology.
* Participate in conferences, workshops, case discussions, and professional learning activities to strengthen clinical practice.
* Maintain accurate patient records and follow healthcare quality, safety, and ethical practice standards.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from an accredited university.
* Board certification in Gastroenterology.
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consultant Gastroenterologist.
* Western education or Western training is required.
* Strong knowledge of gastrointestinal diseases, digestive disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, and related conditions.
* Ability to evaluate complex cases and provide clear, evidence-based treatment recommendations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
