The selected consultant will manage inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases while working closely with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, oncologists, nurses, and other multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver safe, evidence-based care.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and treat gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and digestive system disorders across inpatient and outpatient settings
* Manage conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, chronic liver disease, pancreatitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, abdominal pain, and digestive health complications
* Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy
* Create individualized treatment plans, follow-up schedules, and long-term care strategies for patients with acute and chronic gastroenterology needs
* Review investigations, clinical findings, laboratory results, imaging reports, and endoscopy outcomes to guide accurate treatment decisions
* Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, oncologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient management
* Provide Arabic-speaking patients and families with clear consultation, treatment explanations, preventive guidance, and culturally sensitive counseling
* Maintain accurate medical documentation in line with DHA requirements, hospital policies, and clinical governance standards
* Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, CME activities, departmental meetings, and case discussions
* Educate patients on digestive health, diet, lifestyle modification, preventive screening, medication adherence, and long-term disease control
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a fluent Arabic-speaking Consultant Gastroenterologist with strong clinical experience in digestive disease management, hepatology, endoscopy, and multidisciplinary patient care. This role requires excellent communication, careful diagnostic reasoning, and the ability to manage complex gastroenterology cases in a professional healthcare environment.
* MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
* Board Certification or Fellowship in Gastroenterology
* Valid DHA Consultant License or eligibility for Consultant Gastroenterology
* Minimum 5-7 years of post-board consultant experience in a reputed hospital or healthcare institution
* Proven expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy, including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy
* Strong experience in managing GERD, IBS, IBD, liver diseases, pancreatitis, gastrointestinal bleeding, and complex digestive disorders
* Experience in hepatology and chronic liver disease management will be an advantage
* Exposure to advanced endoscopic procedures is preferred
* Fluency in Arabic is mandatory, and English communication skills are preferred
* Strong patient counseling, documentation, clinical judgment, and multidisciplinary coordination skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multicultural healthcare environment
