Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and digestive system.
* Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and related gastroenterology interventions.
* Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress through follow-up assessments and clinical review.
* Manage common and complex conditions such as IBS, IBD, GERD, liver diseases, hepatology cases, abdominal pain, and digestive disorders.
* Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, internal medicine specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support coordinated care.
* Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all documentation follows DHA regulations, hospital policies, and clinical governance standards.
* Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment options, preventive care, diet, medication use, and lifestyle modifications.
* Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and continuing medical education programs.
* Supervise junior medical staff when required and support safe clinical decision-making within the department.
* Apply international medical standards while delivering compassionate, culturally aware, and patient-focused gastroenterology care.
Ideal Profile
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DHA.
* Board certification, fellowship, or equivalent specialist qualification in Gastroenterology.
* DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as Consultant Gastroenterologist.
* Minimum 5-7 years of post-specialization experience in a reputed hospital or healthcare facility.
* Strong expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures.
* Proven experience in managing gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, gallbladder, and digestive disorders.
* Female candidate required as per operational and patient care needs.
* Fluency in English is required, while Arabic or Hindi language skills are an advantage.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient-management skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment.
