Consultant Gynecologic Oncology Surgeon - Cancer Surgery in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior Hospital and Health Care opportunity for a UK-trained physician with advanced expertise in diagnosing, surgically managing, and treating gynecologic cancers. This role is designed for a consultant-level surgeon experienced in ovarian, cervical, uterine, vulvar, and endometrial cancer care, with strong capability in complex oncologic procedures, minimally invasive surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, and multidisciplinary oncology planning.
The position focuses on delivering evidence-based cancer care for women while supporting surgical excellence, long-term oncologic follow-up, patient counseling, tumor board participation, research, and clinical quality improvement. The selected consultant will work closely with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, anesthesia, nursing, and supportive care teams to provide coordinated and patient-centered gynecologic oncology services.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage gynecologic malignancies, including ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, uterine cancer, vulvar cancer, and endometrial cancer
* Perform advanced gynecologic oncology surgeries, including complex open, minimally invasive, and robotic-assisted surgical procedures
* Develop individualized cancer treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary oncology teams
* Provide perioperative, postoperative, and long-term oncologic care for women undergoing cancer treatment
* Participate in tumor boards, oncology case reviews, clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality improvement initiatives
* Collaborate with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, anesthesiology, nursing, and supportive care teams for integrated treatment planning
* Counsel patients and families on diagnosis, surgical options, expected outcomes, treatment risks, recovery plans, and long-term follow-up needs
* Maintain accurate medical records in line with DHA requirements, hospital policies, and international healthcare standards
* Support patient safety, clinical governance, evidence-based protocols, and service development within gynecologic oncology
* Contribute to medical education, research activity, mentoring, and professional knowledge sharing within the department
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a UK-trained Consultant Gynecologic Oncology Surgeon with strong experience in complex cancer surgery, multidisciplinary oncology care, and women’s cancer management. This role requires surgical precision, leadership, compassionate communication, and the ability to work effectively in a high-standard multicultural healthcare environment.
* Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent from a recognized institution
* Specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology
* Fellowship, CCT, or equivalent UK qualification in Gynecologic Oncology
* UK-trained candidate is preferred
* DHA License eligibility or active DHA License is preferred
* Minimum 5-7 years of consultant-level experience in gynecologic oncology surgery
* Strong expertise in complex oncologic surgery, minimally invasive gynecologic oncology procedures, and robotic-assisted surgery
* Proven experience managing ovarian, cervical, uterine, vulvar, and endometrial cancer cases
* Strong multidisciplinary collaboration, leadership, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and patient-management ability with a compassionate oncology care approach
