Role Context
This role focuses on managing a wide range of benign hematological disorders, ensuring evidence-based patient care, and contributing to education, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and manage benign hematological conditions including anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, bleeding disorders, and hemoglobinopathies
Interpret bone marrow biopsies, peripheral blood smears, and laboratory investigations
Collaborate with internal medicine, oncology, and transfusion teams for integrated care
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case discussions
Contribute to clinical audits, governance, and quality improvement initiatives
Provide teaching and mentorship to junior doctors and allied healthcare staff
Ideal Profile
Medical degree with specialization in Hematology
Board certification such as CCT, FRCP, FRCPath, American Board, or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in benign hematology
Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage
