This role plays a critical part in delivering specialized hematology services across both benign and malignant conditions. The Consultant will contribute to improving patient outcomes through accurate diagnosis, advanced treatment planning, and collaboration with oncology and pathology teams in a tertiary care setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of hematologic disorders including anemia, leukemias, lymphomas, and clotting conditions
* Oversee bone marrow biopsy procedures, transfusion protocols, and chemotherapy treatment plans
* Interpret laboratory investigations and diagnostic findings to guide clinical decisions
* Work closely with oncology, pathology, and radiology teams to ensure coordinated care
* Provide consultation services across inpatient and outpatient departments
* Participate in tumor boards and multidisciplinary case discussions
* Educate patients and families on treatment plans and disease management
* Contribute to clinical audits, research activities, and continuous improvement programs
Ideal Profile
* Board-certified hematologist from a recognized international authority
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in a tertiary hospital environment
* Strong clinical expertise in both benign and malignant hematology
* Skilled in diagnostic procedures and treatment planning
* Effective communicator with the ability to manage complex patient cases
* Eligible for UAE medical licensing
