Role Context
The Consultant Cardiologist is responsible for providing expert cardiovascular care, ensuring accurate diagnosis, effective treatment planning, and long-term management of cardiac patients in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular conditions using evidence-based practices
* Perform and interpret advanced cardiac investigations including echocardiography, ECG, Holter monitoring, stress testing, and cardiac imaging
* Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and rehabilitation teams for integrated patient care
* Contribute to preventive cardiology programs and patient education initiatives
* Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and clinical decision-making
* Support quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with healthcare standards
* Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialization in Cardiology
* Board certification in Cardiology from a recognized authority
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialization clinical experience
* Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure
* Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
