Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist - Neurovascular Care in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior Hospital and Health Care opportunity for an experienced physician specializing in advanced neurovascular imaging, stroke intervention, and minimally invasive endovascular treatment. This role is designed for a consultant-level specialist who can manage complex adult and pediatric neuro-interventional cases while supporting a tertiary-care hospital’s Neurosciences and Radiology division.
The position requires strong procedural expertise, confident multidisciplinary decision-making, and the ability to contribute to clinical service growth, academic development, patient safety, and advanced stroke care pathways. The selected consultant will work closely with neurology, neurosurgery, emergency medicine, critical care, radiology, and allied clinical teams to deliver timely, precise, and patient-centered neurovascular care.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform advanced neuro-interventional procedures for adult and pediatric patients with complex neurovascular conditions
* Carry out mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke cases requiring urgent endovascular treatment
* Perform aneurysm coiling, flow-diversion procedures, AVM and AVF embolization, tumor embolization, carotid stenting, intracranial stenting, and spinal vascular interventions
* Interpret advanced neuroimaging studies, including CT, MRI, CTA, MRA, and DSA, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
* Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for patients with stroke, aneurysms, vascular malformations, and other complex neurovascular disorders
* Participate in 24/7 stroke and neuro-interventional on-call coverage as part of the hospital’s emergency and specialist response system
* Work closely with neurology, neurosurgery, critical care, emergency medicine, and radiology teams to support safe multidisciplinary care
* Contribute to the strategic expansion of the neuro-interventional service through clinical planning, workflow improvement, and quality-focused initiatives
* Develop, review, and update clinical pathways, treatment protocols, procedural standards, and patient safety processes
* Participate in multidisciplinary stroke meetings, neurovascular boards, case reviews, and treatment planning discussions
* Mentor junior radiologists, fellows, residents, technologists, and clinical team members involved in neuro-interventional care
* Communicate diagnoses, procedural risks, expected outcomes, and treatment options clearly to patients and families
* Support patients and families during decision-making, pre-procedure preparation, recovery, and post-procedure follow-up
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a highly trained Consultant Interventional Neuroradiologist with proven experience in tertiary-care hospital settings, advanced neurovascular procedures, and acute stroke intervention. This position requires strong leadership, procedural accuracy, academic interest, and the ability to work under pressure in time-sensitive clinical situations.
* Medical Degree such as MD, MBBS, or equivalent from a recognized institution
* Board Certification in Radiology, such as American Board, Royal College, Arab Board, or equivalent
* Fellowship training in Interventional Neuroradiology or Endovascular Neurosurgery from a recognized center
* Minimum 8-10 years of post-specialization experience, including consultant-level clinical practice
* Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure
* Proven expertise in advanced neuro-interventional procedures, neurovascular disease management, and stroke intervention
* Strong understanding of CT, MRI, CTA, MRA, DSA, and advanced neuroimaging interpretation
* Experience in multidisciplinary care delivery, clinical governance, and procedural safety standards
* Strong communication skills for patient counseling, team coordination, and family discussions
* Fluency in English is required, and Arabic language skills are an advantage
