Consultant Interventional Pulmonologist - Bronchoscopy Care in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior Hospital and Health Care opportunity for an experienced physician specializing in advanced pulmonary diagnostics, therapeutic bronchoscopy, interventional pulmonology, pleural disease management, and complex respiratory care. This role is suitable for a consultant-level pulmonologist who can manage lung masses, airway obstruction, pleural disorders, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary infections, and thoracic conditions using minimally invasive pulmonary techniques.
The position requires strong procedural expertise, careful clinical judgment, and close collaboration with thoracic surgeons, oncologists, intensivists, radiologists, ICU teams, respiratory therapists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals. The selected consultant will provide inpatient and outpatient pulmonary consultations, perform advanced bronchoscopic procedures, support respiratory emergency care, and contribute to clinical quality, research, and continuing medical education.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage a wide range of respiratory, pulmonary, airway, pleural, and thoracic conditions
* Perform advanced interventional pulmonology procedures, including bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, airway stenting, thoracoscopy, pleural procedures, and biopsy techniques
* Manage patients with lung masses, pleural diseases, airway obstruction, interstitial lung disease, and complex pulmonary infections
* Provide inpatient and outpatient pulmonary consultations for acute, chronic, and complex respiratory cases
* Collaborate with thoracic surgeons, oncologists, intensivists, radiologists, ICU teams, nurses, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
* Participate in ICU consultation, respiratory emergency management, and urgent pulmonary intervention when clinically required
* Develop individualized treatment plans, procedure pathways, follow-up schedules, and long-term respiratory care strategies for pulmonary patients
* Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions, diagnostic procedures, treatment options, preventive care, and follow-up requirements
* Maintain accurate medical documentation in line with DHA requirements, hospital policies, and clinical governance standards
* Participate in clinical audits, research activities, quality improvement initiatives, case discussions, and continuing medical education programs
* Support safe, evidence-based use of advanced bronchoscopic and minimally invasive pulmonary techniques
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a Consultant Interventional Pulmonologist with strong post-board experience in pulmonology and advanced interventional pulmonary procedures. This role requires excellent procedural skill, confident patient management, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural healthcare environment.
* MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
* Board Certification or Fellowship in Pulmonology
* Subspecialty training in Interventional Pulmonology
* Valid DHA Consultant License or eligibility for Consultant Pulmonology
* Minimum 5-7 years of post-board consultant experience in pulmonology and interventional pulmonary procedures
* Strong expertise in bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound, pleural interventions, airway stenting, thoracoscopy, and pulmonary biopsy techniques
* Experience in tertiary-care or academic medical centers will be an advantage
* Exposure to advanced pulmonary diagnostics and thoracic oncology programs is preferred
* ICU and critical care experience will add value
* Strong communication, documentation, procedural, and patient management skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced multicultural healthcare environment
