Role Context
The Consultant - IVF Reproductive Medicine will provide advanced fertility care for patients requiring infertility evaluation, IVF treatment, cycle monitoring, and assisted reproductive procedures. The role combines clinical expertise, procedural precision, patient counselling, multidisciplinary coordination, and ethical reproductive medicine practice. Working with embryologists, obstetricians, geneticists, psychologists, nurses, and junior medical staff, the consultant will help improve fertility outcomes and patient experience in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct detailed initial fertility consultations, review patient history, assess reproductive health concerns, and identify suitable treatment pathways.
* Develop individualized treatment plans for patients and couples based on clinical findings, diagnostic results, age, medical history, and fertility goals.
* Perform IVF procedures, including egg retrieval, embryo transfer, and related assisted reproductive medicine interventions with precision and care.
* Support sperm preparation planning and coordinate closely with embryology teams during IVF, ICSI, embryo biopsy, and laboratory-linked treatment cycles.
* Monitor patients throughout fertility treatment, including medication protocols, ovarian stimulation response, ultrasound evaluations, and hormonal investigations.
* Interpret diagnostic tests and provide evidence-based recommendations for IVF, ICSI, fertility preservation, embryo testing, or other advanced reproductive options.
* Collaborate with obstetricians, embryologists, geneticists, psychologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary specialists to provide holistic fertility care.
* Educate patients on fertility options, procedure steps, expected outcomes, possible risks, emotional considerations, and follow-up requirements.
* Stay updated with advancements in reproductive endocrinology, infertility treatment, IVF techniques, and assisted reproductive technology.
* Provide guidance, supervision, and training to nurses, embryologists, junior doctors, and fertility clinic staff.
* Maintain accurate documentation, consent records, cycle monitoring notes, procedure reports, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations.
* Ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations, ethical fertility practice, patient confidentiality standards, and clinic protocols.
* Participate in research, clinical audits, case reviews, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education within reproductive medicine.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree such as MD, MBBS, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
* Board certification, fellowship, or recognized specialist qualification in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
* Minimum 5 years of experience performing IVF and advanced reproductive procedures.
* Strong expertise in reproductive endocrinology, infertility diagnosis, IVF cycle management, ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer.
* Proficiency in ICSI, embryo biopsy, and other advanced assisted reproductive technology techniques.
* Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume fertility center or reproductive medicine unit.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for supporting patients, couples, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Ability to explain complex fertility procedures, risks, success factors, and treatment expectations with sensitivity and clarity.
* Strong documentation, clinical judgment, leadership, ethical practice, and patient-centered care standards.
