Role Context
The Consultant - Laparoscopic Gynecology will provide comprehensive women’s healthcare across obstetrics, gynecology, reproductive health, pregnancy care, and advanced surgical treatment. The role requires strong experience in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures, accurate diagnosis of women’s health disorders, safe obstetric decision-making, and close coordination with anesthesia, neonatology, radiology, nursing, fertility, and surgical teams. The consultant will help strengthen advanced women’s health services in Dubai by combining clinical expertise, surgical precision, compassionate communication, and evidence-based care.
Core Duties
* Provide comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology consultations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care for women across different life stages.
* Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies, including antenatal care, fetal wellbeing monitoring, pregnancy risk assessment, birth planning, and postnatal review.
* Perform advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive gynecological surgeries using safe surgical techniques and evidence-based protocols.
* Conduct cesarean sections, emergency obstetric procedures, and urgent interventions when clinically required.
* Diagnose and manage gynecological disorders including fibroids, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, abnormal bleeding, pelvic pain, hormonal concerns, and infertility-related conditions.
* Develop individualized care plans based on patient history, diagnostic findings, reproductive goals, surgical needs, and overall health status.
* Counsel patients clearly on treatment options, surgical risks, recovery expectations, fertility considerations, pregnancy care, and long-term women’s health.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary medical teams including anesthesiologists, neonatologists, radiologists, fertility specialists, nurses, midwives, and allied healthcare professionals.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including consultation notes, operative reports, consent forms, delivery records, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations.
* Ensure compliance with DHA standards, hospital protocols, patient safety policies, infection control procedures, and international healthcare guidelines.
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, case reviews, morbidity and mortality discussions, and medical education activities.
* Stay updated with advances in laparoscopic gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, high-risk obstetrics, reproductive medicine, and women’s healthcare.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
* Fellowship, board certification, or equivalent recognized qualification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
* Advanced training and proven expertise in laparoscopic gynecological surgery.
* DHA license eligibility or active DHA license is preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of consultant-level experience in obstetrics and gynecology.
* Female candidate preferred as per operational requirement.
* Strong expertise in minimally invasive gynecologic procedures and obstetric management.
