Key Responsibilities
* Perform complex liver and hepatobiliary surgical procedures for benign and malignant conditions
* Assess patients, review diagnostic imaging, and determine surgical suitability and risk
* Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for hepatobiliary diseases
* Provide perioperative and postoperative management to ensure safe recovery and optimal outcomes
* Participate in on-call rotations and manage surgical emergencies as required
* Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, anesthetists, and nursing teams
* Mentor and support junior surgeons, residents, and medical trainees
* Contribute to clinical audits, research activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives
* Maintain accurate surgical documentation and comply with hospital governance and safety standards
* Stay current with advancements in liver and hepatobiliary surgery and surgical technologies
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from an accredited institution
* UK CCT or American Board certification in Liver and Hepatobiliary Surgery
* Minimum 5 years experience as a Consultant Liver and Hepatobiliary Surgeon
* Strong clinical judgment and advanced operative skills in complex hepatobiliary procedures
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary hospital environment
* Fluency in English, with additional language skills considered an advantage
