Role Context
This role plays a vital part in improving maternal and fetal outcomes by managing complex pregnancies and advanced prenatal conditions. The Consultant will lead high-risk case management, support early diagnosis of fetal abnormalities, and enhance multidisciplinary collaboration across obstetrics and neonatal care.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage high-risk pregnancies including maternal comorbidities, fetal anomalies, and multiple gestations
* Perform and interpret advanced prenatal diagnostics such as targeted ultrasound, fetal echocardiography, and invasive procedures
* Develop tailored care plans to ensure safe maternal and fetal outcomes
* Collaborate with neonatologists, genetic specialists, and obstetric teams
* Lead antenatal case reviews and multidisciplinary clinical discussions
* Provide counseling to patients and families on complex prenatal conditions
* Mentor residents and fellows within obstetrics and maternal fetal medicine
* Support clinical audits, safety initiatives, and research in maternal health
* Ensure adherence to clinical standards and regulatory requirements
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics and Gynecology
* Fellowship or subspecialty certification in Maternal Fetal Medicine
* Board-certified such as UK CCT, American Board, or equivalent
* Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 3 to 5 years at consultant level
* Strong expertise in managing complex and high-risk pregnancy cases
* Excellent communication skills for sensitive patient interactions
* Eligible for UAE medical licensing
