Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for women with high-risk pregnancies and complex maternal medical conditions.
- Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound examinations, including fetal anomaly scans, growth assessments, and Doppler studies.
- Conduct prenatal diagnostic procedures such as amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling where clinically applicable.
- Diagnose and manage fetal abnormalities, multiple pregnancies, fetal growth restriction, preeclampsia, and other maternal-fetal complications.
- Develop individualized treatment plans according to maternal and fetal clinical requirements.
- Coordinate care with Obstetrics and Gynecology, Neonatology, Genetics, Anesthesiology, and other relevant specialties.
- Provide antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum consultations for high-risk obstetric patients.
- Counsel patients and families regarding prenatal screening, diagnostic findings, treatment options, and pregnancy management.
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise and support junior medical staff, residents, and fellows where applicable.
Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Completion of an accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Fellowship or Subspecialty Certification in Maternal-Fetal Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years of post-board or subspecialty experience as a Consultant in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
- Experience within a tertiary-care or referral hospital is preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced fetal imaging, prenatal diagnosis, and high-risk pregnancy management.
Skills and Licensing
