Dual training in pediatric ophthalmology is highly desirable, especially for supporting children with neuro-ophthalmic concerns and complex visual development needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage optic nerve disorders, neuro-visual pathway conditions, and complex visual symptoms associated with neurological disease.
* Treat patients with optic neuritis, papilledema, diplopia, visual field defects, unexplained visual loss, and related neuro-ophthalmic disorders.
* Conduct detailed neuro-ophthalmic assessments using clinical examination, visual field analysis, ocular imaging, and neurological correlation.
* Interpret neuro-imaging findings relevant to ophthalmology and coordinate further investigations where required.
* Work closely with neurology, neurosurgery, radiology, pediatrics, and ophthalmology teams to support integrated patient care.
* Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plans based on diagnosis, disease progression, and patient-specific needs.
* Provide expert clinical input for patients with complex neurological, pediatric, or visual pathway concerns.
* Communicate diagnosis, treatment options, risks, and follow-up requirements clearly to patients and families.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow healthcare quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
* Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical audits, teaching activities, and continuous professional development.
Ideal Profile
* Tier 1 qualification such as American Board, UK CCT, Canadian Fellowship, Australian Fellowship, New Zealand Fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification.
* Fellowship training in Neuro-Ophthalmology.
* Dual training in pediatric ophthalmology is highly desirable.
* Minimum 5 years of Consultant-level experience.
* Strong expertise in optic nerve disease, neuro-visual pathway disorders, diplopia, papilledema, optic neuritis, and neurological causes of visual impairment.
* Ability to interpret neuro-imaging findings relevant to ophthalmic diagnosis and care planning.
* Proven experience working with neurology and neurosurgery teams in complex clinical cases.
* Strong diagnostic judgment, communication skills, and multidisciplinary teamwork.
