Position Overview
A Consultant Neurocritical Care opportunity is available in Dubai, United Arab Emirates within the Hospital and Health Care industry for an experienced physician specializing in critically ill patients with complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. The consultant will manage high-acuity neurological emergencies requiring advanced monitoring, intensive care, and coordinated multidisciplinary intervention.
The role covers acute stroke, intracranial and subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, status epilepticus, neurotrauma, and post-neurosurgical critical care, with responsibility for neurological monitoring, airway and ventilation management, intracranial pressure, cerebral perfusion, and clinical stabilization.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neurocritical care for patients with life-threatening neurological conditions.
- Manage acute stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage, subarachnoid hemorrhage, traumatic brain injury, status epilepticus, and other neurological emergencies.
- Assess and manage critically ill patients requiring advanced neurological monitoring and intensive care.
- Provide critical care management for post-neurosurgical and neurotrauma patients.
- Perform detailed neurological assessments and interpret relevant diagnostic investigations.
- Manage airway, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamic stability, intracranial pressure, and cerebral perfusion in critically ill neurological patients.
- Collaborate closely with neurologists, neurosurgeons, intensivists, emergency physicians, radiologists, rehabilitation specialists, and other clinical teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, clinical rounds, and emergency response activities.
- Support evidence-based protocols for stroke, neurotrauma, intracranial hypertension, and other critical neurological disorders.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement, medical education, and research activities.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree.
- Recognized Specialist or Consultant qualification in Neurology, Neurosurgery, Critical Care, or Neurocritical Care.
- Fellowship or formal advanced training in Neurocritical Care is highly desirable.
- Appropriate UAE professional license or eligibility for Consultant-level licensing in Dubai.
- Significant post-specialization experience managing critically ill neurological patients.
- Strong knowledge of advanced neurological monitoring and critical care practices.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
