Consultant Neurosurgeon - Complex Surgery in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior Hospital and Health Care opportunity for a Tier-1 qualified neurosurgical consultant with advanced expertise in complex brain, spine, vascular, trauma, tumor, and functional neurosurgical cases. The role is suited for a high-acuity specialist who can deliver advanced surgical care, lead multidisciplinary pathways, and contribute to the growth of a strong neuroscience service within a leading tertiary hospital.
This position involves full-spectrum neurosurgical practice, including diagnosis, operative planning, complex procedures, post-operative management, clinical governance, research, and mentorship. The consultant will work closely with neurology, ICU, oncology, radiology, pain management, rehabilitation, anesthesia, nursing, and allied healthcare teams to support safe, evidence-based, and patient-centered outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage a broad range of neurosurgical conditions, including tumors, trauma, spine disorders, vascular lesions, and functional neurosurgical cases.
* Perform complex neurosurgical procedures using microsurgical, endoscopic, image-guided, and minimally invasive techniques.
* Lead multidisciplinary case discussions with neurology, ICU, oncology, radiology, pain management, rehabilitation, anesthesia, and surgical teams.
* Oversee pre-operative evaluation, risk assessment, surgical planning, intraoperative decision-making, and post-operative follow-up.
* Manage high-acuity neurosurgical cases in tertiary care settings where rapid decision-making and coordinated support are essential.
* Use advanced neurosurgical technologies such as neuronavigation, intraoperative imaging, and neuro-monitoring where clinically appropriate.
* Ensure compliance with international standards for patient safety, clinical quality, documentation, consent, and surgical governance.
* Participate in audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, clinical governance meetings, and service improvement initiatives.
* Teach, mentor, and support residents, fellows, junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals.
* Engage in research, innovation, and evidence-based practice to improve neurosurgical outcomes and strengthen neuroscience services.
Ideal Profile
* CCT, FRCS in Neurosurgery, American Board Certification, or equivalent Tier-1 qualification.
* Minimum 8-10 years of post-specialty training experience in neurosurgery.
* Proven experience in high-acuity tertiary or academic medical centers.
* Eligibility for DHA Consultant License.
* Strong clinical background in complex neurosurgical care, including brain tumors, spinal disorders, trauma, vascular lesions, and functional neurosurgery.
* Proficiency with neuronavigation, intraoperative imaging, neuro-monitoring, and modern minimally invasive neurosurgical techniques.
* Subspecialty interest in neuro-oncology, spine surgery, neurovascular surgery, functional neurosurgery, or minimally invasive neurosurgery is preferred.
* Strong leadership, communication, surgical judgment, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
* Ability to support service development, clinical governance, research, and training within a high-performing neuroscience program.
