Role Context
The Consultant OB GYN plays a critical role in supporting women’s health across all life stages, from pregnancy and childbirth to menopause and reproductive wellness. This position strengthens hospital excellence by delivering safe maternity care, advanced gynecological treatment, surgical expertise, and compassionate long-term patient support for women and families.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality obstetric and gynecological care for women across all age groups including prenatal, antenatal, postnatal, and menopause-related care
* Conduct routine gynecological examinations, screenings, and management of conditions such as endometriosis, pelvic pain, fibroids, PCOS, infertility concerns, and irregular menstrual cycles
* Manage labor and delivery cases including normal childbirth, high-risk pregnancies, and Caesarean sections with strong maternal and fetal safety standards
* Deliver prenatal services including ultrasounds, blood investigations, fetal monitoring, and genetic counseling where required
* Develop treatment plans for complex gynecological conditions and perform gynecological surgeries when clinically necessary
* Educate patients regarding reproductive health, contraception, fertility options, and family planning services
* Collaborate with neonatologists, anesthetists, pediatricians, fertility specialists, and nursing teams for comprehensive patient care
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with DHA regulations and hospital governance standards
* Stay updated with advancements in obstetrics and gynecology through continuous medical education and specialist training
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from an accredited and recognized university
* American Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is mandatory
* Minimum seven years of experience as a Consultant OB GYN with at least three years of UAE or GCC experience
* Valid DHA or MOH consultant license is essential
* Strong expertise in obstetric care, gynecological surgery, fertility counseling, and women’s health management
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong patient-centered approach
* Western education or specialist training is required
* Strong work ethic with commitment to compassionate and high-quality patient care
