Position Overview
A Consultant OBGYN - Urogynaecology opportunity is available in Dubai, United Arab Emirates within the Hospital and Health Care industry for an experienced female physician with subspecialty training in Urogynaecology and pelvic floor reconstruction. The consultant will provide comprehensive assessment and treatment for women with pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence, and complex urogynecological conditions while also delivering general Obstetrics and Gynaecology care.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage female urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, recurrent urinary tract infections, and pelvic floor dysfunction.
- Conduct comprehensive urogynecological assessments, including urodynamic testing, cystoscopy, and pelvic floor evaluation.
- Provide conservative and surgical management for pelvic floor disorders according to individual patient requirements.
- Perform vaginal and laparoscopic prolapse repair.
- Undertake mid-urethral sling procedures and pelvic reconstructive surgery.
- Perform hysterectomy and related pelvic floor procedures when clinically indicated.
- Deliver comprehensive obstetric and general gynecological care across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Provide appropriate pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative management.
- Counsel patients regarding treatment options, surgical risks, expected recovery, and long-term management.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists, urologists, colorectal surgeons, radiologists, and other specialists to coordinate multidisciplinary care.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation according to applicable hospital and regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, teaching, and research activities.
- Maintain current knowledge of advances in Urogynaecology through continuous professional development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution.
- Completion of specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Fellowship or formal subspecialty training in Urogynaecology or Pelvic Floor Reconstruction is mandatory.
- Western-trained education and-or clinical experience from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or equivalent is mandatory.
- Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with significant Urogynaecology experience.
- Appropriate UAE professional license or eligibility for Consultant-level licensing in Dubai.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced pelvic floor surgery and complex urogynecological disorders.
