Position Overview
A Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynecology opportunity is available in Dubai, United Arab Emirates for an American Board-certified physician with extensive experience in women\'s health. The consultant will provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care from pregnancy through menopause, including prenatal care, deliveries, Caesarean sections, gynecological treatment, surgery, reproductive health counselling, and postnatal care. The position requires Western education or training together with substantial Consultant-level experience.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality and compassionate obstetric and gynecological care to women across different stages of life, from pregnancy through menopause.
- Conduct routine examinations and screenings and manage gynecological conditions including endometriosis, pelvic pain, and irregular periods.
- Manage deliveries, perform Caesarean sections, and provide postnatal care for mothers and their babies.
- Deliver prenatal care including ultrasounds, blood tests, and genetic counselling to support maternal and fetal health.
- Develop individualized treatment plans for complex gynecological conditions and perform surgery when clinically necessary.
- Counsel patients on reproductive health and family planning options, including contraception and fertility treatments.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain current clinical knowledge through continuing education and training in obstetrics and gynecology.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Consultant OB-GYN, including at least 3 years of experience in the UAE or GCC region.
- American Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid DHA or MOH license as a Consultant OB-GYN.
- Western education or training is required.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience across a broad range of obstetric and gynecological services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective relationships with patients and colleagues.
