Role Context
This role focuses on delivering complex oculoplastic procedures that improve both functional vision outcomes and aesthetic appearance. The position contributes directly to surgical excellence, multidisciplinary coordination, and the advancement of specialized ophthalmic services.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform advanced eyelid, orbital, and lacrimal surgeries, including intricate reconstructive procedures
* Manage trauma-related cases, periocular tumors, and post-oncologic reconstruction pathways
* Deliver aesthetic services such as blepharoplasty, injectables, and minimally invasive rejuvenation techniques
* Work closely with dermatology, oncology, and maxillofacial teams to ensure integrated patient care
* Participate in clinical governance initiatives, audits, and service quality improvements
* Support knowledge sharing through mentoring and departmental training activities
Ideal Profile
* Tier 1 qualification such as American Board, UK CCT, Canadian Fellowship, or equivalent
* Fellowship training in Oculoplastic Surgery from a recognized institution
* Demonstrated expertise in both reconstructive and cosmetic periocular procedures
* Eligibility for DOH Abu Dhabi licensure
* Strong clinical judgment with attention to surgical detail
* Patient-focused mindset with excellent communication skills
