This position supports advanced surgical care for patients with congenital craniofacial conditions, facial deformities, trauma-related injuries, and reconstructive needs. Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage cleft lip and palate conditions in pediatric and adult patients.
* Perform advanced oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, including corrective, reconstructive, and trauma-related operations.
* Assess congenital craniofacial conditions and develop suitable treatment plans based on patient age, clinical needs, and surgical priorities.
* Manage facial trauma cases and support functional and aesthetic reconstruction where required.
* Collaborate with ENT specialists, plastic surgeons, orthodontists, speech therapists, pediatricians, anesthetists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
* Develop individualized treatment plans and surgical strategies for patients requiring complex craniofacial or maxillofacial care.
* Monitor surgical outcomes, manage follow-up care, and adjust treatment pathways when clinically required.
* Maintain high standards of patient safety, consent, documentation, infection control, and clinical quality.
* Participate in clinical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, teaching sessions, and continuing medical education activities.
* Communicate clearly with patients and families regarding diagnosis, surgical options, expected outcomes, risks, and recovery plans.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with recognized specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
* Fellowship, board certification, or equivalent specialist qualification in a relevant surgical specialty.
* Active DOH license or DOH license eligibility is preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of consultant-level experience in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
* Strong expertise in cleft lip and palate management, craniofacial surgery, facial trauma, and reconstructive procedures.
* Proven ability to work within multidisciplinary care teams for pediatric and adult patients.
* Excellent clinical judgment, surgical planning ability, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to guide patients and families through complex treatment journeys.
