Consultant Paediatric Vascular Surgeon - Vascular Care in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior Hospital and Health Care opportunity for an experienced surgeon specializing in congenital and acquired vascular disorders in infants, children, and adolescents. This role is suitable for a consultant-level paediatric vascular surgeon with strong expertise in complex pediatric vascular procedures, vascular reconstruction, vascular malformations, aneurysms, vascular access surgery, and emergency vascular trauma care.
The position requires advanced surgical judgment, family-centered communication, and close collaboration with pediatric surgeons, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, intensivists, plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The selected consultant will provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric vascular surgery care while supporting clinical audits, research, teaching, quality improvement, and patient safety within a specialized children’s healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired vascular conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents
* Perform pediatric vascular surgical procedures, including vascular reconstructions, treatment of vascular malformations, aneurysm management, and complex vascular access procedures
* Evaluate pediatric patients with arterial, venous, and lymphatic disorders requiring specialist vascular assessment and treatment planning
* Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for pediatric vascular surgery cases across acute, chronic, and complex presentations
* Participate in emergency management of pediatric vascular trauma, acute vascular compromise, and urgent vascular surgical conditions
* Develop individualized surgical plans, postoperative care pathways, rehabilitation needs, and long-term follow-up strategies for pediatric patients
* Collaborate with pediatric surgeons, interventional radiologists, cardiologists, intensivists, plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
* Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, surgical risks, recovery expectations, postoperative care, and long-term vascular health
* Support management of vascular malformations, pediatric vascular anomalies, and complex reconstructive vascular cases
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with DHA requirements, hospital policies, and clinical governance standards
* Participate in clinical audits, research activities, teaching programs, case reviews, and continuing medical education
* Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, surgical quality, and continuous improvement standards
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a Consultant Paediatric Vascular Surgeon with strong post-board experience in pediatric vascular surgery within a tertiary-care or academic hospital. This role requires excellent operative skill, confident emergency decision-making, and the ability to work effectively across high-acuity multidisciplinary pediatric care pathways.
* MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
* Board Certification or Fellowship in Vascular Surgery
* Subspecialty experience or focused practice in Paediatric Vascular Surgery
* Valid DHA Consultant License or eligibility for Consultant Vascular Surgery
* Minimum 5-7 years of post-board consultant experience in pediatric vascular surgery within a tertiary-care or academic hospital
* Strong expertise in complex pediatric vascular surgery, vascular reconstruction, vascular access procedures, and management of vascular malformations
* Experience in pediatric vascular anomalies and vascular trauma management will be an advantage
* Exposure to hybrid vascular and endovascular pediatric procedures is preferred
* Academic, research, audit, or teaching experience will add value
* Excellent surgical, communication, documentation, family counseling, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment with children and families
