This role supports patient safety, surgical success, and postoperative recovery while contributing to critical care response, junior staff development, and continuous improvement within pediatric anesthesia services.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide comprehensive anesthesia care for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents undergoing elective and emergency procedures
* Develop individualized anesthetic plans based on patient condition, surgical complexity, and perioperative risk assessment
* Monitor and manage patients throughout preoperative preparation, intraoperative anesthesia, and post-anesthesia recovery
* Deliver anesthesia support for pediatric surgery, diagnostic imaging, interventional procedures, and emergency operations
* Participate in pediatric code blue teams and critical care emergency response situations
* Supervise junior anesthetists, residents, fellows, and support staff within pediatric anesthesia services
* Contribute to simulation training, departmental teaching, and continuous professional education programs
* Ensure compliance with DHA regulations, hospital protocols, and international patient safety standards
* Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement programs, and pediatric anesthesia research initiatives
* Maintain accurate clinical records and support multidisciplinary communication with surgeons and ICU teams

Ideal Profile

* Medical degree such as MBBS or equivalent with completed residency in Anesthesiology
* Fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology from a recognized institution
* Board certification such as American Board, UK CCT, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent
* Minimum two to five years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric anesthesia practice
* Eligibility for specialist licensing within UAE healthcare authority standards
* Experience in neonatal intensive care and pediatric critical care settings is highly valued
* Strong communication, leadership, and crisis management abilities
