Position Overview
Allocation Assist Middle East is seeking an experienced Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Surgeon for an on-site opportunity at a tertiary care cardiac center in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The position focuses on the surgical management of congenital heart disease in neonates, infants, children, and adolescents, including neonatal cardiac surgery, complex congenital heart procedures, and redo operations. The consultant will work within a multidisciplinary pediatric cardiac team to deliver evidence-based surgical care for complex and high-risk cases.

Clinical Responsibilities
- Perform complex pediatric cardiac procedures, including
congenital heart defect repairs, neonatal cardiac surgery, and redo cardiac operations.
- Manage perioperative care of pediatric cardiac patients in collaboration with cardiology, anesthesia, and intensive care teams.
- Participate in surgical planning and clinical decision-making for high-risk congenital heart disease cases.
- Provide emergency surgical intervention for critically ill pediatric cardiac patients.
- Work closely with pediatric cardiologists on diagnostic and therapeutic decision-making.
- Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac conferences and complex case discussions.
- Maintain surgical safety, infection control, and applicable quality standards.
- Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, fellows, and surgical trainees.
- Maintain accurate clinical and surgical documentation in accordance with applicable healthcare regulations and hospital policies.
- Contribute to clinical research, audits, publications, and academic development.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Board Certification or Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery.
- Subspecialty training in Pediatric Cardiac Surgery.
- Eligibility for Consultant-level medical licensing in Dubai.
- Minimum 7-10 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric cardiac surgery.
- Strong expertise in neonatal cardiac surgery and complex congenital heart surgery.
- Excellent surgical, leadership, communication, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
Preferred Experience
Experience with ECMO and mechanical circulatory support programs is preferred. Exposure to a high-volume pediatric cardiac center and an academic or research background in pediatric cardiac surgery are considered advantageous.
The consultant should be comfortable managing complex surgical cases within a high-acuity tertiary care environment and contributing to multidisciplinary management of congenital heart disease.
