Consultant Pediatric Craniofacial Surgeon - Reconstruction in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior Hospital and Health Care opportunity for an experienced surgeon specializing in congenital and acquired craniofacial abnormalities in infants, children, and adolescents. This role is ideal for a consultant-level pediatric craniofacial surgeon with strong expertise in craniosynostosis correction, cleft-related craniofacial deformities, facial asymmetry, craniofacial trauma reconstruction, congenital skull abnormalities, and advanced pediatric reconstructive surgery.
The position focuses on improving functional, developmental, and aesthetic outcomes for pediatric patients through precise surgical planning, multidisciplinary collaboration, and long-term family-centered care. The selected consultant will work closely with neurosurgeons, plastic surgeons, ENT specialists, orthodontists, speech therapists, pediatricians, nurses, and allied healthcare teams to deliver coordinated craniofacial care in a specialized children’s healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage congenital and acquired craniofacial conditions affecting infants, children, and adolescents
* Perform complex pediatric craniofacial surgical procedures, including correction of craniosynostosis, cleft-related craniofacial deformities, facial asymmetry, craniofacial trauma reconstruction, and congenital skull and facial abnormalities
* Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for pediatric craniofacial surgery patients requiring specialist evaluation and long-term care
* Develop individualized surgical plans, staged reconstructive pathways, postoperative care plans, and long-term follow-up strategies for pediatric patients
* Collaborate with neurosurgeons, plastic surgeons, ENT specialists, orthodontists, speech therapists, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
* Participate in craniofacial multidisciplinary clinics, surgical planning meetings, complex case reviews, and treatment pathway discussions
* Educate patients and families on diagnosis, surgical options, procedural risks, expected recovery, postoperative care, and long-term functional and aesthetic outcomes
* Support advanced craniofacial reconstruction, cleft-related programs, and pediatric skull base care where clinically required
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with DHA requirements, hospital policies, and clinical governance standards
* Participate in clinical audits, research activities, teaching programs, case reviews, and continuing medical education
* Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, surgical quality, and continuous improvement standards
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a Consultant Pediatric Craniofacial Surgeon with strong post-board experience in tertiary-care or academic hospital settings and proven expertise in pediatric craniofacial reconstructive and corrective surgery. This role requires advanced surgical judgment, clear family communication, and the ability to work effectively across complex multidisciplinary care pathways.
* MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
* Board Certification or Fellowship in Plastic Surgery, Craniofacial Surgery, or Pediatric Craniofacial Surgery
* Valid DHA Consultant License or eligibility for Consultant registration in the relevant specialty
* Minimum 5-7 years of post-board consultant experience in pediatric craniofacial surgery within a tertiary-care or academic hospital
* Strong expertise in pediatric craniofacial reconstruction, craniosynostosis correction, cleft-related deformity surgery, facial asymmetry correction, and trauma reconstruction
* Experience in cleft and craniofacial multidisciplinary programs will be an advantage
* Exposure to advanced craniofacial reconstruction and pediatric skull base procedures is preferred
* Academic, research, audit, or teaching experience will add value
* Excellent surgical, communication, documentation, counseling, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment with children and families
