Role Context
This role is essential in strengthening pediatric dermatology services by providing expert diagnosis, advanced treatment, and long-term management of skin conditions in infants, children, and adolescents while supporting clinical innovation and patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage a wide range of pediatric skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, vitiligo, vascular anomalies, and genetic disorders
* Perform advanced dermatological procedures such as laser therapies, dermoscopy, biopsies, and cryotherapy
* Manage complex cases including hemangiomas and congenital skin conditions
* Provide specialized consultations for neonatal dermatology and multidisciplinary cases
* Develop treatment plans based on evidence-based practices and long-term care strategies
* Lead pediatric dermatology services and support strategic development initiatives
* Collaborate with pediatricians, allergists, geneticists, and other specialists for integrated care
* Mentor junior doctors, residents, and nursing teams
* Communicate effectively with patients’ families and caregivers regarding diagnosis and treatment plans
* Participate in research, teaching, and professional development programs
Ideal Profile
* Medical Degree (MD or MBBS) from a recognized institution
* Board Certification in Dermatology from an accredited authority
* Fellowship or strong experience in Pediatric Dermatology
* Minimum 8-10 years of post-specialization experience including consultant-level practice
* Eligibility for DOH consultant licensure
* Proven expertise in pediatric dermatology and procedural treatments
* Strong leadership and communication skills
* Fluency in English with Arabic considered beneficial
