Role Context
This role is central to improving long-term health outcomes for children with endocrine and metabolic disorders. The Consultant will manage complex pediatric conditions, support early diagnosis, and contribute to service development within a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage pediatric endocrine disorders including diabetes, growth issues, and hormonal imbalances
* Provide inpatient consultations across NICU, PICU, and pediatric departments
* Manage outpatient clinics for chronic endocrine conditions and long-term follow-up
* Interpret laboratory results, hormone testing, and imaging for accurate diagnosis
* Participate in multidisciplinary clinics such as diabetes and obesity management
* Contribute to clinical pathway development and service improvement initiatives
* Lead case discussions, audits, and clinical governance activities
* Mentor junior doctors, residents, and healthcare staff
* Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans
* Participate in research, teaching, and continuing medical education programs
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialization in Pediatrics
* Fellowship training in Pediatric Endocrinology
* Board-certified such as American Board, Royal College, or equivalent
* 8 to 10 years of post-specialization experience including consultant-level practice
* Strong expertise in managing complex pediatric endocrine cases
* Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
* Eligible for UAE medical licensing
