Role Context
The Consultant Pediatric ENT - Child Care will provide specialist evaluation, treatment planning, surgical care, and long-term follow-up for children with ENT disorders that may affect hearing, breathing, sleep, speech, feeding, communication, and quality of life. The role supports early diagnosis, precise intervention, family education, and coordinated care with pediatricians, audiologists, speech therapists, nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. Strong clinical judgment, patient-centered communication, and a compassionate approach to children and families are essential for delivering trusted pediatric ENT care in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations of children presenting with ear, nose, throat, airway, hearing, speech-related, and recurrent infection concerns.
* Diagnose and manage pediatric ENT conditions including ear infections, tonsillitis, hearing loss, speech and language-related ENT issues, sinus problems, nasal obstruction, and throat disorders.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient age, clinical findings, diagnostic results, family concerns, and evidence-based pediatric ENT practice.
* Provide expert consultation to pediatricians and other medical professionals for complex pediatric ENT cases requiring specialist review.
* Perform pediatric ENT surgical procedures when clinically necessary and within approved privileges, ensuring safe preoperative and postoperative care.
* Monitor patient progress through follow-up consultations, treatment response reviews, hearing-related assessments, and adjustment of care plans when required.
* Collaborate with audiologists, speech therapists, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to support complete child-centered care.
* Counsel parents and caregivers on diagnosis, treatment options, procedure risks, recovery expectations, hearing support, speech concerns, and preventive care.
* Maintain accurate medical records, consultation notes, operative reports, consent documentation, follow-up plans, and treatment summaries.
* Support high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, infection control, confidentiality, and ethical medical practice.
* Stay updated with current pediatric ENT practices, surgical techniques, diagnostic methods, and international standards of otolaryngology care.
* Contribute to a collaborative clinical environment focused on innovation, compassionate care, and improved outcomes for children and families.
Ideal Profile
* Licensed physician with specialization in Pediatrics and Otolaryngology or ENT.
* Western-trained education or clinical experience is required.
* Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consultant Pediatric ENT in a reputable medical facility.
* Proven record of delivering high-quality patient care in a pediatric healthcare setting.
* Strong knowledge of current pediatric ENT practices, procedures, diagnostics, and surgical care pathways.
