Role Context
The Consultant Pediatric ENT plays a critical role in improving children’s health outcomes by managing hearing disorders, airway conditions, speech-related ENT concerns, and complex pediatric otolaryngology cases. This position supports early diagnosis, specialist intervention, and long-term treatment planning to help children achieve better health and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations of infants, children, and adolescents with ear, nose, and throat disorders
* Diagnose and manage pediatric ENT conditions including ear infections, tonsillitis, hearing loss, speech disorders, airway issues, and sinus conditions
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, examination findings, and diagnostic investigations
* Perform pediatric ENT surgical procedures when clinically required according to established medical standards
* Provide specialist consultation and second opinions for complex pediatric otolaryngology cases
* Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to ensure the best clinical outcomes
* Educate families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, post-operative care, and preventive ENT health practices
* Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with hospital quality and safety standards
* Collaborate closely with pediatricians, speech therapists, audiologists, and multidisciplinary medical teams
* Participate in clinical governance, continuous education, and professional development activities
Ideal Profile
* Licensed physician with specialization in Pediatrics and Otolaryngology
* Consultant-level qualification in Pediatric ENT is mandatory
* Western-trained education or specialist experience is required
* Minimum 5 years of Consultant Pediatric ENT experience in a reputable healthcare facility
* Strong expertise in pediatric ENT diagnostics, surgery, and patient management
* Proven track record of delivering high-quality pediatric patient care
* Excellent diagnostic reasoning, problem-solving, and clinical decision-making skills
* Strong communication skills with a compassionate and family-focused approach
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary specialist environment
