Position Overview
Consultant Pediatric ENT Specialist - Airway Care in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a specialized Hospital and Health Care opportunity for an experienced otolaryngology physician focused on diagnosing and treating ear, nose, throat, airway, head, and neck conditions in infants, children, and adolescents. This role is suitable for a consultant-level pediatric ENT specialist with strong expertise in pediatric airway management, recurrent ear disease, hearing disorders, sinus conditions, sleep-disordered breathing, congenital anomalies, and complex ENT surgery.
The position requires confident surgical skill, evidence-based decision-making, and close collaboration with pediatricians, pulmonologists, speech therapists, audiologists, craniofacial surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. The selected consultant will provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric ENT care, manage complex airway cases, support family counseling, and contribute to clinical audits, teaching, research, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage pediatric ENT disorders, including airway abnormalities, recurrent ear infections, hearing disorders, sinus disease, tonsillar conditions, sleep-disordered breathing, and congenital head and neck anomalies
* Perform pediatric ENT procedures such as adenotonsillectomy, tympanostomy tube insertion, airway surgery, endoscopic procedures, and head and neck surgeries
* Evaluate and manage pediatric airway emergencies, complex airway conditions, and urgent ENT presentations requiring specialist intervention
* Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for infants, children, and adolescents with ENT, airway, hearing, sinus, and head and neck conditions
* Develop individualized treatment plans, surgical care pathways, postoperative management plans, and long-term follow-up strategies
* Collaborate with pediatricians, pulmonologists, speech therapists, audiologists, craniofacial surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
* Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, recovery expectations, hearing care, airway safety, and long-term management
* Maintain accurate medical documentation in line with DHA requirements, hospital policies, and clinical governance standards
* Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching activities, case reviews, and continuing medical education programs
* Ensure adherence to infection control, patient safety, surgical quality, and continuous improvement standards
* Support pediatric craniofacial, airway, and complex ENT service development where required
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a Consultant Pediatric ENT Specialist with strong post-board experience in tertiary-care or academic hospital settings. This role requires advanced pediatric otolaryngology expertise, excellent surgical judgment, calm airway management skills, and a family-centered approach to communication and care.
* MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
* Board Certification or Fellowship in Otolaryngology or ENT
* Subspecialty training or strong clinical experience in Pediatric ENT
* Valid DHA Consultant License or eligibility for ENT or Otolaryngology
* Minimum 5-7 years of post-board consultant experience in Pediatric ENT within a tertiary-care or academic hospital
* Strong expertise in pediatric airway management, ENT surgical procedures, recurrent ear disease, hearing disorders, and congenital head and neck conditions
* Experience in pediatric airway reconstruction and complex head and neck procedures will be an advantage
* Exposure to multidisciplinary pediatric craniofacial and airway programs is preferred
* Academic, research, audit, or teaching experience will add value
* Excellent communication, surgical, documentation, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment with children and families
