Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage pediatric ENT disorders, including congenital abnormalities, recurrent infections, airway concerns, hearing-related conditions, sinus disease, and other acquired ear, nose, and throat conditions.
* Perform pediatric otolaryngology procedures such as tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy, tympanoplasty, endoscopic sinus surgery, and other approved ENT surgical interventions.
* Provide consultant-level assessment, second opinions, and treatment recommendations for complex pediatric ENT cases.
* Interpret diagnostic tests, including audiograms, CT scans, MRI findings, endoscopic assessments, and other relevant ENT investigations.
* Collaborate with audiologists, speech therapists, pediatricians, anesthesiologists, nurses, radiologists, and allied health professionals to provide complete child-focused care.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, child age, clinical findings, family concerns, and long-term functional outcomes.
* Communicate clearly with parents and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, surgical risks, recovery expectations, and follow-up care.
* Maintain accurate patient records, consultation notes, operative reports, consent documentation, diagnostic findings, and follow-up plans.
* Participate in clinical audits, departmental meetings, CME activities, patient safety programs, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and medical students when required.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialization in Otolaryngology.
* Fellowship or board certification in Pediatric ENT is preferred.
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience, with strong exposure to pediatric ENT cases.
* Western training is required.
* Strong surgical and diagnostic skills in pediatric otolaryngology.
* Experience managing congenital and acquired ENT conditions in children.
* Ability to perform common pediatric ENT procedures and support complex case management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a family-centered approach.
* Fluency in English is required.
* Arabic language skills are an advantage.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary and multicultural healthcare environment.
