The Consultant Pediatric Hematologist and Oncologist plays a critical role in improving patient outcomes for children facing serious hematologic diseases and pediatric cancers. This position supports early diagnosis, advanced treatment planning, and multidisciplinary care coordination while helping families navigate highly sensitive medical journeys with confidence and trust.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage pediatric blood disorders including anemia, leukemia, lymphoma, clotting disorders, and solid tumors
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, laboratory results, and international best practices
* Perform detailed patient assessments and coordinate chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive care plans
* Collaborate closely with pediatricians, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, and intensive care specialists
* Monitor treatment progress and adjust care pathways based on patient response and recovery status
* Provide guidance to families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and long-term follow-up care
* Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions and case reviews
* Maintain accurate patient records, clinical documentation, and regulatory compliance
* Support research activities, clinical audits, and continuous medical education programs
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialist training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology
* Valid UAE medical license or eligibility for licensing
* UK CCT, American Board Certification, or Canadian Board Certification is mandatory
* Minimum 5 years of consultant-level experience in pediatric hematology and oncology
* Strong expertise in managing pediatric cancer treatment protocols and hematologic disorders
* Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and healthcare teams
* Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to work effectively under pressure
