Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage pediatric patients with blood disorders, childhood cancers, leukemia, lymphoma, anemia, bleeding disorders, and other hematologic or oncologic conditions.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, laboratory results, imaging, disease stage, patient age, and family care needs.
* Provide consultant-level medical care using evidence-based pediatric hematology and oncology protocols, advanced diagnostics, and modern treatment approaches.
* Monitor treatment response, adjust therapy when required, and manage complications related to chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion support, infection risk, or disease progression.
* Coordinate with pediatricians, oncologists, hematologists, nurses, pharmacists, radiologists, pathologists, psychologists, and other specialists to ensure complete patient care.
* Support children and families with clear explanations, emotional guidance, treatment education, and compassionate communication throughout the care journey.
* Maintain accurate patient records, treatment plans, progress notes, medication details, consent documentation, and follow-up reports.
* Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, tumor boards, departmental discussions, clinical education sessions, and patient care reviews.
* Stay updated with international developments in pediatric hematology, pediatric oncology, cancer therapies, blood disorder management, and supportive care.
* Contribute to patient safety, clinical governance, quality improvement, and service development within pediatric cancer and hematology services.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialty training in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology.
* Valid UAE medical license or eligibility to practice in the UAE.
* UK CCT, American Board, or Canadian Board certification is required.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in pediatric hematology, pediatric oncology, or a closely related consultant-level role.
* Strong clinical knowledge of childhood cancers, blood disorders, chemotherapy care, transfusion medicine, supportive therapy, and long-term patient monitoring.
* Confident in managing complex pediatric cases in a fast-paced and multicultural hospital environment.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to support children, adolescents, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Compassionate, patient-centered, and emotionally resilient approach to pediatric cancer and blood disorder care.
* Ability to work collaboratively while maintaining high standards of clinical documentation and patient safety.
* Experience with advanced medical technology, modern treatment protocols, and international pediatric oncology practices is preferred.
