This role is suited to a consultant who can provide high-level interventional treatment for neonates, infants, children, and adolescents while contributing to clinical quality, research, education, and pediatric cardiac program development.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform pediatric cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures, including ASD device closure, VSD device closure, PDA closure, balloon valvuloplasty, angioplasty, stenting, and complex congenital heart interventions.
* Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care for pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart diseases.
* Assess neonates, infants, children, and adolescents with complex cardiac conditions and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and diagnostic results.
* Interpret pediatric cardiac investigations, including echocardiography, ECG, Holter monitoring, and CT or MRI cardiac imaging where applicable.
* Participate in multidisciplinary cardiac conferences, case discussions, surgical planning meetings, and treatment pathway reviews.
* Provide on-call coverage for pediatric cardiac emergencies and urgent interventional cardiology cases.
* Collaborate with pediatric cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, intensivists, neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, perfusion teams, and allied health professionals.
* Contribute to departmental quality improvement, clinical governance, patient safety initiatives, and pediatric cardiac protocol development.
* Mentor junior physicians, fellows, residents, nurses, and clinical staff involved in pediatric cardiac care.
* Engage in clinical research, audits, academic presentations, case reviews, and evidence-based service improvement.
* Participate in teaching activities for medical students, residents, fellows, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
* Support hospital-based and community awareness initiatives related to pediatric heart disease, early diagnosis, and long-term cardiac care.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree such as MD, MBBS, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
* Board certification in Pediatric Cardiology such as American Board, Royal College, Arab Board, or equivalent recognized qualification.
* Fellowship training in Interventional Pediatric Cardiology from a recognized center.
* Minimum 5-10 years of post-fellowship experience in a high-volume pediatric cardiac center.
* Eligibility for regional consultant-level healthcare licensing is required.
* Strong procedural portfolio with documented experience in pediatric cardiac catheterization and congenital heart interventions.
* Proven ability to manage complex pediatric cardiac cases involving neonates, infants, children, and adolescents.
* Strong understanding of pediatric cardiac imaging, surgical planning, intensive care coordination, and long-term follow-up.
* Excellent communication, leadership, teaching, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
* Fluency in English is required.
* Arabic language skills are beneficial but not required.
* Commitment to patient-centered care, clinical excellence, academic contribution, and safe interventional practice.
