This role is central to delivering specialized pediatric nephrology services, including advanced diagnostics, dialysis management, and transplant care. The Consultant will contribute to improving long-term outcomes for children with renal diseases through coordinated and evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage pediatric kidney disorders including congenital anomalies, nephrotic syndrome, and chronic kidney disease
* Oversee dialysis programs including peritoneal dialysis and hemodialysis for pediatric patients
* Support renal transplant evaluation and post-transplant follow-up care
* Interpret renal imaging, biopsies, and advanced laboratory investigations
* Collaborate with pediatric specialists including urology, endocrinology, and intensive care teams
* Provide family education on disease management and long-term care strategies
* Participate in clinical audits, research initiatives, and continuous medical education
* Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with specialization in Pediatric Nephrology
* Board-certified in Pediatric Nephrology from a recognized authority
* Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in a tertiary care setting
* Strong expertise in pediatric dialysis and renal disease management
* Excellent communication and patient-centered care approach
* Eligible for DHA Consultant License
* Commitment to clinical excellence and continuous professional development
