Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist care for pediatric patients with neurological disorders, including epilepsy, developmental delays, movement disorders, neuromuscular conditions, headaches, seizures, and complex neurodevelopmental concerns.
* Conduct detailed neurological examinations, review medical histories, assess developmental milestones, and evaluate symptoms to support accurate diagnosis.
* Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EEG, MRI, CT scans, laboratory investigations, genetic testing, and other pediatric neurology assessments where appropriate.
* Develop individualized treatment plans based on diagnosis, patient age, clinical severity, family needs, and long-term neurological outcomes.
* Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans when needed, and provide ongoing follow-up for children with chronic or complex neurological conditions.
* Work closely with pediatricians, rehabilitation physicians, neurosurgeons, psychologists, therapists, nurses, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
* Communicate clearly with parents and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication plans, prognosis, safety measures, and home care support.
* Support patients with complex conditions through multidisciplinary case discussions, care planning, and specialist referrals when required.
* Participate in research, conferences, publications, academic activities, and continuous professional development related to pediatric neurology.
* Stay updated with advancements in pediatric neurology, epilepsy care, neurodevelopmental medicine, movement disorder treatment, and evidence-based clinical practice.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation, diagnostic reports, treatment plans, medication records, and follow-up notes in line with hospital standards.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from an accredited institution.
* Specialized training and certification in Pediatric Neurology.
* Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Consultant Pediatric Neurologist.
* Western training is required.
* Strong clinical experience in pediatric epilepsy, developmental delay, movement disorders, neurodevelopmental concerns, and complex neurological conditions.
* Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to children and families.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary and multicultural healthcare environment.
* Commitment to patient safety, clinical documentation, ethical practice, research, and continuous professional development.
* Experience using advanced diagnostic technologies and modern treatment approaches in pediatric neurology is preferred.
