Role Context
This role plays a vital part in delivering specialized pediatric oncology care with a focus on bone marrow transplantation. The position supports high-risk cancer treatment pathways, multidisciplinary collaboration, and advancement of clinical and research programs.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage pediatric cancers including leukemia, lymphoma, and solid tumors
* Perform and oversee autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplants
* Lead multidisciplinary case discussions and develop individualized treatment strategies
* Supervise junior physicians, fellows, and clinical staff in oncology and BMT protocols
* Ensure adherence to international standards of care and institutional policies
* Participate in clinical trials, audits, and research initiatives
* Provide counseling and education to patients and families regarding treatment and recovery
* Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
* Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree with board certification in Pediatric Hematology Oncology
* Fellowship training in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation
* Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric oncology and BMT
* Eligibility for DOH Abu Dhabi licensure
* Western training preferred
* Strong leadership and communication skills
