Consultant Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon - Deformity Care in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a senior Hospital and Health Care opportunity for an experienced surgeon specializing in musculoskeletal disorders, congenital deformities, pediatric trauma, spinal conditions, limb abnormalities, and reconstructive orthopedic procedures in infants, children, and adolescents. This role is suitable for a consultant-level pediatric orthopaedic surgeon with strong expertise in surgical and non-surgical care, functional recovery, mobility improvement, and multidisciplinary pediatric treatment planning.
The position focuses on delivering evidence-based orthopedic care for children with complex bone, joint, spine, limb, trauma, and neuromuscular conditions. The selected consultant will work closely with pediatricians, rehabilitation specialists, neurologists, radiologists, physiotherapists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support safe treatment, improved mobility, and long-term functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage pediatric orthopedic conditions, including congenital deformities, scoliosis, hip disorders, limb abnormalities, fractures, sports injuries, and neuromuscular conditions
* Perform pediatric orthopedic surgical procedures, including trauma surgery, deformity correction, spinal procedures, and reconstructive surgeries
* Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for infants, children, and adolescents with musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions
* Evaluate and manage pediatric musculoskeletal trauma, emergency orthopedic cases, fractures, acute injuries, and complex deformity presentations
* Develop individualized treatment, surgical, postoperative, and rehabilitation plans to optimize mobility, recovery, and long-term function
* Collaborate with pediatricians, rehabilitation specialists, neurologists, radiologists, physiotherapists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
* Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment options, surgical procedures, postoperative care, rehabilitation needs, and long-term follow-up
* Support pediatric spine surgery, deformity correction, trauma care, and reconstructive orthopedic pathways where clinically required
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with DHA requirements, hospital policies, and clinical governance standards
* Participate in clinical audits, research activities, teaching programs, case reviews, and continuing medical education
* Ensure adherence to patient safety, infection control, surgical quality, rehabilitation coordination, and continuous improvement standards
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a Consultant Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon with strong post-board experience in pediatric orthopedic surgery within a tertiary-care or academic hospital setting. This role requires excellent operative skill, confident trauma management, family-centered communication, and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary pediatric care pathways.
* MBBS, MD, or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
* Board Certification or Fellowship in Orthopaedic Surgery
* Subspecialty training in Pediatric Orthopaedics
* Valid DHA Consultant License or eligibility for Consultant Orthopaedic Surgery
* Minimum 5-7 years of post-board consultant experience in Pediatric Orthopaedic Surgery within a tertiary-care or academic hospital
* Strong expertise in pediatric orthopedic trauma, deformity correction, spinal procedures, congenital deformities, and reconstructive surgery
* Experience in pediatric spine surgery and complex deformity correction will be an advantage
* Exposure to multidisciplinary pediatric rehabilitation programs is preferred
* Research publications, clinical audits, academic work, or teaching experience will add value
* Excellent surgical, communication, documentation, family counseling, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
* Ability to work effectively in a multicultural healthcare environment with children and families
