Consultant Pediatric PM and R - Rehabilitation Care in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a specialized Hospital and Health Care opportunity for an experienced physician focused on pediatric physical medicine, rehabilitation medicine, neurorehabilitation, mobility improvement, and long-term functional recovery. This role is ideal for a consultant-level doctor who can diagnose, treat, and manage infants, children, and adolescents with physical disabilities, developmental delays, neuromuscular conditions, musculoskeletal limitations, and complex rehabilitation needs.
The position focuses on helping pediatric patients improve independence, movement, strength, coordination, and quality of life through individualized rehabilitation plans. The selected consultant will work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, pediatric specialists, nurses, and family members to deliver coordinated rehabilitation care in a modern clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
* Evaluate, diagnose, and manage pediatric patients with congenital, developmental, neurological, musculoskeletal, and acquired physical disabilities
* Create individualized rehabilitation care plans based on each child’s medical needs, functional goals, mobility level, and long-term recovery potential
* Lead multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs involving physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, psychologists, pediatricians, and other specialists
* Manage pediatric conditions such as cerebral palsy, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, autism-related motor disorders, and developmental delays
* Perform and supervise rehabilitation procedures, including spasticity management, botulinum toxin injections, orthotic recommendations, and mobility assessments
* Monitor patient progress and revise treatment plans to improve strength, movement, independence, daily function, and rehabilitation outcomes
* Provide clear counseling and education to families regarding diagnosis, therapy goals, assistive devices, home care, and long-term rehabilitation planning
* Support the use of advanced rehabilitation technologies, adaptive equipment, mobility aids, and assistive devices where clinically appropriate
* Maintain accurate medical documentation in line with DHA requirements, hospital policies, clinical governance standards, and evidence-based practice
* Participate in departmental quality initiatives, clinical audits, case reviews, and continuing medical education activities
* Work with a culturally diverse patient population while maintaining compassionate, respectful, and family-centered care
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a Consultant Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician with strong experience in pediatric neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, spasticity management, and multidisciplinary therapy planning. This role requires clinical leadership, excellent family communication, and the ability to guide complex pediatric rehabilitation cases with patience, precision, and long-term care focus.
* Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent from a recognized institution
* Board Certification, recognized residency, or fellowship in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with pediatric rehabilitation expertise
* Valid DHA Consultant License or eligibility for Consultant Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
* Minimum 5-7 years of post-board experience in pediatric rehabilitation and physical medicine practice
* Strong expertise in pediatric neurorehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation, developmental rehabilitation, and multidisciplinary care management
* Experience with cerebral palsy, neuromuscular disorders, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, spasticity, and developmental delay cases
* Training in pediatric spasticity management and ultrasound-guided procedures will be an advantage
* Experience with internationally accredited healthcare facilities is preferred
* Strong leadership, communication, clinical planning, and patient-family counseling skills
* Fluency in English is required, and Arabic language skills are an advantage
* Ability to work effectively within a multicultural clinical environment
