Key Responsibilities
* Provide specialist medical care for pediatric patients with respiratory disorders, including asthma, cystic fibrosis, bronchitis, chronic cough, wheezing, and complex pulmonary conditions.
* Conduct detailed pediatric assessments, review medical histories, order diagnostic tests, and interpret clinical findings accurately.
* Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe appropriate medications, and monitor response to therapy.
* Manage patient progress through regular follow-up, clinical evaluation, and timely adjustment of care plans.
* Work with pediatricians, nurses, respiratory therapists, radiologists, emergency teams, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
* Support the development and improvement of pediatric pulmonary healthcare programs, clinical pathways, and service standards.
* Stay current with advances in pediatric pulmonology, respiratory medicine, diagnostic methods, and evidence-based treatment options.
* Participate in medical education, case discussions, and training activities for healthcare professionals, residents, fellows, and students.
* Maintain complete and accurate patient records in line with clinical governance, privacy, and healthcare compliance requirements.
* Communicate clearly with parents and caregivers regarding diagnosis, treatment options, medication use, follow-up care, and long-term respiratory health.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree from an accredited institution.
* Completed specialist training in pediatric pulmonology through diploma, board certification, fellowship, or equivalent recognized qualification.
* Minimum 5 years of clinical experience as a pediatric pulmonologist.
* Western education or Western training is required.
* Strong experience in managing pediatric respiratory disorders in outpatient, inpatient, and multidisciplinary care settings.
* Ability to interpret pulmonary diagnostics and apply evidence-based treatment for children with acute and chronic respiratory conditions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a child-focused and family-centered approach.
* Fluent English communication skills are required, while Arabic language ability is an advantage.
* Comfortable working in a multicultural and fast-paced medical environment.
