About the Role
The Consultant in Pediatric Rehabilitation will manage children requiring structured rehabilitation for conditions such as cerebral palsy, developmental delay, and neuromuscular disorders. Working
within a multidisciplinary pediatric rehabilitation setting, the consultant will coordinate treatment planning across relevant therapy disciplines and monitor each child\'s progress over the course of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage pediatric patients with physical, developmental, neurological, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation needs.
- Assess children with conditions including cerebral palsy, developmental delay, and neuromuscular disorders.
- Develop individualized rehabilitation plans with appropriate functional and treatment goals.
- Lead and coordinate care involving physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy teams.
- Monitor clinical and functional progress throughout rehabilitation.
- Adjust treatment plans according to patient progress and rehabilitation needs.
- Educate families on appropriate home-based rehabilitation programs.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Ensure rehabilitation care adheres to applicable UAE healthcare standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Consultant qualification in Pediatric Rehabilitation, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pediatrics, Neurology, or Orthopedics with relevant rehabilitation experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant clinical experience.
- Eligibility for DHA or DOH medical licensing.
- Strong clinical and leadership capabilities.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
