Position Overview
A Consultant Pediatric Surgery opportunity is available in Dubai, United Arab Emirates within the Hospital and Health Care industry for an experienced surgeon providing comprehensive surgical care for infants, children, and adolescents. The consultant will diagnose and surgically manage congenital, acquired, emergency, and traumatic conditions while delivering evidence-based and patient-centered pediatric care.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage
a broad spectrum of pediatric surgical conditions.
- Treat congenital anomalies, abdominal conditions, thoracic disorders, tumors, and traumatic injuries affecting pediatric patients.
- Perform elective and emergency pediatric surgical procedures.
- Manage neonatal surgical cases, including congenital malformations and complex neonatal emergencies.
- Provide inpatient and outpatient consultations for pediatric surgical patients.
- Collaborate with neonatology, Pediatric Intensive Care, anesthesia, radiology, and other pediatric subspecialties to coordinate care.
- Participate in emergency surgical coverage and pediatric trauma management.
- Develop individualized preoperative and postoperative management plans.
- Monitor surgical patients throughout their treatment and recovery.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
- Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuing medical education.
- Maintain high standards of infection control, patient safety, and surgical quality.
Qualifications and Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
- Board Certification or Fellowship in Pediatric Surgery.
- Appropriate UAE professional license or eligibility for Consultant-level licensing in Dubai.
- Minimum 5-7 years of post-board Consultant experience within a tertiary-care or academic hospital.
- Strong expertise in neonatal and complex pediatric surgical procedures.
- Excellent surgical, communication, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
