Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and manage adolescent medical conditions, developmental concerns, and age-specific health issues
* Provide preventive healthcare services, vaccinations, screening, wellness checks, and health education for adolescents and young patients
* Assess and address behavioral, emotional, lifestyle-related, and psychosocial health concerns in coordination with relevant specialists
* Develop individualized treatment plans, wellness strategies, and follow-up care pathways based on each patient’s clinical and developmental needs
* Manage chronic pediatric and adolescent conditions requiring long-term monitoring, family involvement, and multidisciplinary care
* Collaborate with pediatricians, mental health professionals, nurses, social workers, dietitians, and other healthcare teams for integrated patient support
* Provide counseling to families and caregivers on adolescent development, preventive medicine, lifestyle modification, and health risk reduction
* Support patient advocacy initiatives that encourage safe, respectful, and age-appropriate healthcare decision-making
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with DHA requirements, hospital policies, and clinical governance standards
* Participate in clinical quality improvement programs, educational activities, case discussions, and continuing medical development initiatives
Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate is a Consultant Pediatrician or Adolescent Medicine Physician with strong consultant-level experience in pediatric care, preventive medicine, developmental health, and adolescent wellbeing. This role requires excellent communication, mature clinical judgment, and the ability to work with young patients and families in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner.
* Medical degree such as MBBS, MD, or equivalent from a recognized institution
* Specialization in Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, or a closely related medical field
* Fellowship, Board Certification, or equivalent qualification in a relevant specialty
* Active DHA License or eligibility for Consultant level practice is preferred
* Minimum 5 years of consultant-level pediatric experience
* Strong expertise in adolescent healthcare, preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and developmental assessment
* Experience working with multidisciplinary pediatric and mental health teams is preferred
* Excellent interpersonal, counseling, communication, and family education skills
* Ability to manage sensitive adolescent health concerns with confidentiality, empathy, and professional judgment
