The Consultant Plastic Surgeon - Aesthetic Surgery provides specialist reconstructive and cosmetic surgical services for patients requiring functional restoration, appearance enhancement, trauma-related correction, post-oncologic reconstruction, or non-surgical aesthetic care. The role combines technical surgical expertise with premium patient experience, careful counselling, and long-term follow-up.
This position has a strong impact on patient confidence, physical recovery, appearance-related wellbeing, and service quality. The consultant will collaborate with oncology, orthopaedics, ENT, dermatology, critical care, anesthesia, nursing, and allied health teams to support safe, personalized, and culturally aligned treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver advanced reconstructive and aesthetic surgical services in line with international clinical standards and Dubai healthcare expectations.
* Perform complex reconstructive procedures, including trauma reconstruction, microsurgery, burns reconstruction, soft tissue restoration, and post-oncologic reconstruction.
* Provide aesthetic surgical care across face, breast, and body contouring procedures, ensuring careful assessment, patient suitability, and realistic outcome planning.
* Offer non-surgical aesthetic interventions where clinically appropriate, with attention to safety, facial harmony, patient expectations, and follow-up care.
* Conduct detailed pre-operative assessments, review medical history, evaluate risk factors, explain treatment options, and prepare individualized surgical plans.
* Manage post-operative follow-up, wound care, complication prevention, recovery monitoring, and long-term patient satisfaction.
* Work with oncology, orthopaedics, ENT, dermatology, critical care, anesthesia, nursing, and other teams for high-acuity or multidisciplinary surgical cases.
* Provide culturally sensitive counselling in Arabic and English, helping patients understand procedures, risks, benefits, alternatives, and recovery expectations.
* Maintain strict compliance with DHA regulations, consent requirements, infection control, clinical governance, confidentiality, and ethical medical practice.
* Keep accurate consultation records, operative notes, consent documentation, treatment plans, and follow-up reports.
* Uphold premium standards of professionalism, patient privacy, service excellence, and communication throughout the full care journey.
Ideal Profile
* Medical degree such as MD, MBBS, or equivalent from a recognized institution.
* Board certification, fellowship, or equivalent specialist qualification in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery.
* Valid DHA Consultant License or eligibility for Consultant registration.
* Minimum 5-7 years of post-specialization experience in reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
* Strong expertise in complex reconstruction, aesthetic surgery, microsurgery, burns reconstruction, post-oncologic restoration, body contouring, facial aesthetic procedures, and non-surgical aesthetic treatments.
* Fluency in Arabic is mandatory, with strong English communication skills preferred.
* Proven ability to manage multicultural patient expectations with professionalism, empathy, confidentiality, and clinical clarity.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a premium, multidisciplinary, high-performance healthcare environment.
