Key Responsibilities
* Assess patients requiring reconstructive or cosmetic plastic surgery and determine appropriate treatment options.
* Perform reconstructive surgical procedures according to diagnosis, functional needs, and accepted surgical standards.
* Deliver cosmetic surgery for suitable patients after comprehensive assessment and informed consent.
* Develop individualized operative plans based on anatomy, medical history, patient expectations, and surgical risk.
* Conduct detailed pre-operative consultations and ensure patients understand treatment objectives and limitations.
* Explain proposed procedures, expected outcomes, recovery requirements, potential complications, and alternative treatment options.
* Provide comprehensive postoperative follow-up and monitor wound healing, recovery, and surgical outcomes.
* Identify and manage postoperative complications promptly and appropriately.
* Coordinate treatment with anesthesiologists, dermatologists, surgeons, nurses, rehabilitation teams, and other healthcare professionals.
* Maintain accurate consultation notes, surgical records, consent forms, treatment plans, and follow-up documentation.
* Use medical software and digital clinical systems efficiently for patient records and care coordination.
* Apply current reconstructive and cosmetic surgery techniques according to evidence-based clinical practice.
