Key Responsibilities
* Provide consultant-level plastic surgery care across reconstructive, cosmetic, trauma-related, burns, hand surgery, and aesthetic treatment areas.
* Perform advanced surgical procedures with a strong focus on patient safety, functional recovery, appearance restoration, and long-term clinical outcomes.
* Lead outpatient clinics, assess patient concerns, review medical history, explain treatment options, and develop suitable surgical or non-surgical care plans.
* Conduct pre-operative evaluations, obtain informed consent, manage surgical risk, and coordinate safe peri-operative care with the wider clinical team.
* Provide post-operative follow-up, wound care guidance, complication monitoring, recovery planning, and patient education after plastic surgery procedures.
* Collaborate with anesthesiologists, emergency physicians, burn care teams, orthopedic specialists, nurses, rehabilitation staff, and other healthcare professionals.
* Support multidisciplinary decision-making for complex trauma reconstruction, burn injuries, hand conditions, and cases requiring functional or cosmetic correction.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation, operative notes, treatment plans, patient records, and follow-up reports in line with hospital requirements.
* Participate in on-call duties when required by the department and provide timely consultant input for urgent surgical cases.
* Contribute to clinical governance, audits, surgical safety reviews, quality improvement work, and department-level service development.
* Mentor junior doctors, residents, and clinical staff while supporting a professional learning culture within the surgical department.
Ideal Profile
* Board certification or equivalent specialist qualification in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
* Minimum 5-7 years of post-consultant experience is preferred.
* Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
* Valid license or eligibility for licensing with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties is preferred for regional healthcare placement.
* Strong experience in reconstructive plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, trauma reconstruction, burns management, hand surgery, and aesthetic interventions.
* Proven ability to manage outpatient consultations, surgical planning, operative care, and post-operative follow-up independently.
* Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to explain procedures, risks, recovery expectations, and treatment outcomes clearly.
* Strong teamwork approach within multidisciplinary hospital and specialist clinic settings.
* Commitment to clinical documentation, patient safety, ethical practice, and high-quality surgical standards.
* Experience in a multicultural healthcare environment is an advantage.
